{"id":679,"date":"2021-11-10T15:22:44","date_gmt":"2021-11-10T14:22:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.leo-italy.eu\/?post_type=razze&#038;p=679"},"modified":"2022-01-18T11:22:33","modified_gmt":"2022-01-18T10:22:33","slug":"agerolese","status":"publish","type":"razze","link":"https:\/\/www.leo-italy.eu\/en\/razze\/agerolese\/","title":{"rendered":"Agerolese"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Origini<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La culla d\u2019origine \u00e8 la zona dei Monti Lattari e della Penisola Sorrentina dove, gi\u00e0 nel 264 a.C., erano presenti allevamenti di bovini ad attitudine lattifera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La razza nasce con i Borboni (XVIII-XIX sec.) che importarono bovini di razze diverse per migliorare il ceppo podolico gi\u00e0 esistente in Campania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Da una ricostruzione storica, inoltre, pare che il Generale Avitabile, natale di Agerola, abbia introdotto nel 1845 bovini Jersey che entrarono a far parte del nucleo fondatore della razza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Caratteristiche<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Di taglia media, resa unica da secoli di selezione in un ambiente avverso, privo di pascoli e per lo pi\u00f9 tenuta in ricoveri di fortuna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Queste condizioni di allevamento hanno permesso alla razza di acquisire doti di rusticit\u00e0 e resistenza, producendo una discreta quantit\u00e0 di latte dalle eccellenti qualit\u00e0 organolettiche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il mantello \u00e8, nelle femmine,&nbsp; di colore bruno con tonalit\u00e0 pi\u00f9 chiare nella regione addominale; nei tori \u00e8 nero maltinto con riga dorso lombare chiara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Attitudine e prodotti<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Razza a duplice attitudine, oggi viene utilizzata quasi esclusivamente per la produzione del latte il cui impiego \u00e8 rivolto alla caseificazione ed in particolare alla produzione del formaggio \u201cProvolone del Monaco D.O.P.\u201d, caciocavallo, burro e fiordilatte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dove \u00e8 allevata<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Attualmente annovera una popolazione di circa 200 vacche presenti in circa 40 allevamenti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.leo-italy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/agerolese.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-676\" width=\"189\" height=\"256\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.leo-italy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/agerolese.png 561w, https:\/\/www.leo-italy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/agerolese-222x300.png 222w, https:\/\/www.leo-italy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/agerolese-254x343.png 254w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 189px) 100vw, 189px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Origins<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Campania (area of the Lattari Mountains and Sorrento Peninsula), where cattle breeding was carried on since 264 b.C.<br>Borboni dinasty (18<sup>th<\/sup>-19<sup>th<\/sup> c.) then imported different cattle breeds and crossed them with local podolic animals to improve milk production. In 1845 general Avitabile (from Agerola) crossed these animals with&nbsp; purebred Jersey cattle to build up the founding nucleus of Agerolese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Peculiarities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>200 cows in 40 farms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Medium size, rusticity and resistance, production of a fair quantity of milk with excellent organoleptic properties.<br>Brown coat with lighter shades in the abdominal region for females; black coat with a light back lumbar line for males.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Attitude and products<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Double attitude (milk \u2013 meat) but almost exclusively bred for milk production.
