{"id":758,"date":"2021-11-10T17:24:08","date_gmt":"2021-11-10T16:24:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.leo-italy.eu\/?post_type=razze&#038;p=758"},"modified":"2021-12-02T12:46:37","modified_gmt":"2021-12-02T11:46:37","slug":"massese","status":"publish","type":"razze","link":"https:\/\/www.leo-italy.eu\/en\/razze\/massese\/","title":{"rendered":"Massese"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Origini<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Razza originaria della Valle del Forno, nelle Alpi Apuane, in provincia di Massa Carrara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All\u2019inizio del secolo le pecore che popolavano l\u2019Appennino Tosco-Emiliano erano considerate appartenenti ad un\u2019unica grande popolazione dalle caratteristiche morfologiche non sempre uniformi ed&nbsp; i diversi nomi dipendevano dalla localit\u00e0 di allevamento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Caratteristiche<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Il vello \u00e8 aperto o semiaperto a bioccoli conici con lana piuttosto liscia; di colore grigio piombo, con parte apicale meno scura nelle femmine e quasi nera nel maschio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Una taglia media con soggetti adulti maschi e femmine che raggiungono, rispettivamente, valori di altezza al garrese di 85 e 77 cm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.leo-italy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image-72.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-759\" width=\"383\" height=\"222\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.leo-italy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image-72.png 677w, https:\/\/www.leo-italy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image-72-300x174.png 300w, https:\/\/www.leo-italy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image-72-591x343.png 591w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 383px) 100vw, 383px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Una mammella bene attaccata con rete venosa abbastanza evidente, povera di tessuto connettivo e adiposo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Viene allevata in piccoli e medi allevamenti in pianura, collina e montagna, in forma semibrada, stanziale e transumante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Attitudine e prodotti<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La razza ha una spiccata e preminente attitudine lattifera con una produzione di circa 150 litri nel corso di una lattazione.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il latte viene impiegato prevalentemente per la caseificazione di formaggio pecorino, consumato fresco o dopo breve stagionatura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"163\" height=\"222\" src=\"https:\/\/www.leo-italy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/image-73.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-760\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Origins<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Breed origins are in Valle del Forno, in the Apuan Alps, province of Massa Carrara. At the beginning of the century sheep that populated the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines were considered to belong to a single large population with not always uniform morphological characteristics; the different names depended on the breeding area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Peculiarities<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Population: 8500 ewes in 100 farms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fleece is open or semi-open and has lead gray color, with less dark apical part in females and almost black in male. Body is medium size with adult males and females that reach, respectively, withers height values of 85 and 77 cm.<br>Udder is well attached with a fairly evident blood vessels net, poor in connective and adipose tissue. Animals are reared in small and medium-sized farms in the plains, hills and mountains, in semi-free ranging, sedentary and transhumant form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Attitude<\/strong> <strong>and<\/strong> <strong>products<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Milk production (about 150 liters per lactation).
