Origini

L’origine della sua denominazione deriva dal fatto che era allevato nel modenese  sotto i porticati, questo colombo covava a terra sotto le «banche» su cui i contadini tenevano i sacchi di cereali («sotto la panca» etimologicamente).

Its name derives from the fact that it was raised in the Modena area under the arcades, this dove was lying on the ground under the “banks” on which the farmers kept cereal sacks of (“under the bench” etymologically).
